The session, headed by eminent historians Dr. Shamara Wettimuny and Prof. Nira Wickramasinghe , offered a deep dive into Said\u2019s critical contributions to postcolonial theory, literature, and historical narratives, highlighting the enduring impact of his ideas on contemporary cultural and historical critique, in the BMICH<\/li><li style=\"text-align: left;\">Participated in the workshop titled <em>\u201cDigitalizing Research &amp; Education Content on the LEARN FOSS Free Open Cloud Platform,\u201d<\/em> organized by the Lanka Education and Research Network (LEARN) and held from 8\u201312 September 2025 at the Information Technology Center, University of Peradeniya.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Invited Lectures<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Served as a <strong>Resource Person<\/strong> for a two-hour academic session on the historical construction of gender during the colonial period in Sri Lanka, enhancing students\u2019 understanding of gender, colonial history, and social inequality through critical historical analysis.<\/li><li><strong>Resource Person<\/strong> On 9 August,2025 acted as a Resource Person for Day 02 of the Gender and History Workshop at the International Centre for Ethnic Studies (ICES), Colombo 8.
