Field Visit to Archaeological Sites in Ampara and Monaragala Districts (22–25 September 2026)
A field visit to archaeological sites in the Ampara and Monaragala districts was conducted from 22 to 25 September 2026 for second-year students of the Department of History, University of Jaffna, as part of the courses AYCH 22033 and AYC 22013 – Archaeological Heritage Sites in Sri Lanka. The visit provided students with practical knowledge of Sri Lanka’s archaeological heritage and helped them understand the historical significance of archaeological sites through direct observation.
