History departments of the University of Colombo and the University of Jaffna have been
participating History and Community Project for a long time. It is customary for this History
and Community workshop to be held at places of historical importance every year. In this year
the workshop was held in Kandy from 24th to 26th of June 2023. Level III semester II students
of the Department of History of the University of Jaffna participated in this workshop.

Nanayakkara, Mr. Samal Hemachandra from the University of Colombo and Senior Lecturer
Ms. Santhini Arulanantham and Lecturer Ms. Ushanthy Arunpirasanth, Temporary Lecturer
Ms. Thanista from the University of Jaffna also participated.
