    • Workshop on exploring the legacy of Edward Said, the renowned Palestinian-American scholar. The session, headed by eminent historians Dr. Shamara Wettimuny and Prof. Nira Wickramasinghe , offered a deep dive into Said’s critical contributions to postcolonial theory, literature, and historical narratives, highlighting the enduring impact of his ideas on contemporary cultural and historical critique, in the BMICH (Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall)

  • Awarded the Certificate in English Language Enhancement Training by the U.S. Department of State’s English Language Programs, in recognition of her successful completion of a 24-hour intensive training course conducted at the University of Jaffna. Facilitated by Ms. Jennifer Goodman, English Language Fellow from the U.S. Embassy in Colombo, the program focused on enhancing advanced communication skills, academic writing techniques, and professional development in English. This award demonstrates her dedication to academic growth and her commitment to maintaining high standards of language proficiency in teaching and research.
  • Student Counsellor at the University of Jaffna from 2022 to 2023, playing a vital role in supporting student welfare and contributing to institutional development. In this capacity, actively engaged in student guidance, mental health support, and academic counseling, fostering a positive and inclusive campus environment.
